How it all turns out could tell us much about what happens when free software meets free market, according to an editorial on Linux ...

Using the Mozilla SOAP API

With the release of Mozilla 1.0, the world now has a browser that supports SOAP natively. No longer do the tasks of assembling, executing, and handling SOAP operations fall solely on the server side. This article shows you how Web applications running in Mozilla can now make SOAP calls directly from the client without requiring a browser refresh or additional calls to the server.

Turbolinux future uncertain

Gartner: Linux will be the savior of Unix

Netscape 7.0 shrivels under Mozilla's shadow

"The fact that Netscape 7.0 arrives hot on the heels of the similar but superior Mozilla 1.1 only serves to illuminate the small but significant differences between the two: Mozilla is highly customizable and offers a number of user options, while Netscape forces users to accept many features and functions they probably don't want while removing some they probably do."

The Death of EJB As We Know It?

It's started--I proclaim the EJB backlash officially begun. I've been saying this (under the radar, of course, so as not to look too foolish if it turns out I'm wrong <g>) for about a year now, but all the signs over the past two years have pointed to a growing backlash against EJB. Now I'm willing to go public and admit it: EJB is on its way out.
